I had great fun at this sunny weekend. Press events; a dress rehearsal at the Castle esplanade; some cool Scottish musicians; a sort of 'Scottish' amusement park with white tents next to Holyrood Palace and many Scottish expats from across the world; a parade led by the Atholl Highlanders up the cobbled Royal Mile, which was packed with onlookers, and followed by all the clans bearing their flags. It was mad fun running up the high street ahead of the parade. After the down pour of rain on the Friday the weather certainly was kind. The event was like a tartan fashion parade.
